The purpose of study is a search of records and bibliographical materials, compiling the bibliography, copying, edition, translation, commentary, preparing to printing. Collecting of a creative heritage of domestic and foreign researchers history of the Slobidsky Ukraine demands serious search work in the archives and libraries. as well as the translation, ordering and edition with scientific comment of historical works, documents, memoirs. In this year the faculty of the Ukrainian Studies has performed great volume of work in the specified direction. During 2002 work on commenting and preparation for the edition of 3 vol. D.I.Bagalij's 'Selective Works'(in two books) was carried out. The work on translation and commenting of J.Chr.Engel's 'History of Ukraine and ukrainian kozaks' (1 printed sheet of a paper) is completed. Fragments of his work were published in the historian-culturological collection 'East-West'(2002.-№ 5). Work on preparation for the edition and commenting of the memoirs of V.Abaza, who was V.N.Karazin's contemprorary, 'The Century of the Nobility of V.Abaza' is completed. Results of the scientific work are the preparation for the edition of 3 vol. D.I.Bagalij's 'Selective Works'(in two books); J.Chr.Engel's 'History of Ukraine and ukrainian kozaks' (its fragments were published in the historian-culturological collection 'East-West'(2002.-№ 5); the memoirs of V.Abaza, and also a number of sources are published in professional editions. The final report - from 01.01.2000 up to 31.12.2002 years the faculty of the Ukrainian Studies has issued the 2-ed volume of D.I.Bagalij's 'Selective Works' (40 printed sheets of a paper); the memoirs of Chr.D. Rommel, who was a professor of Kharkiv universityin 1811-1813. It has prepared for the edition of 3 vol. D.I.Bagalij's 'Selective Works'(in two books); J.Chr.Engel's work 'History of Ukraine and ukrainian kozaks'(its fragments were published in the historian-culturological collection 'East-West'(2002.-№ 5); the editing and scientific comment to the edition of memoirs of V.Abaza who was V.N.Karazin's contemporary 'The century of nobility of V.Abaza' is completed; a number of sources in professional editions is published.
