Changing the phase-structure composition of the surface layers for carbon and low-alloyed steels under the pulsed plasma treatments were investigated also. There was carried out analysis of irradiation influence on the tribological characteristics of suefaces, first of all on microhardness and wear resistance. The comaparative analysiis was done for surface characteristics of materials irradiated in IBIS and POSVET devices. There was shown that the highest increase of wear resistance is achieved due to formation of austenite gama-N phase, that was created under the nitrogen implantation into the surface layer. Decrease of the lattice spacing for alpha-Fe and its increase for gama-Fe, obtainesd for different steels, is typical attribute of their treatment with pulsed plasma streams. It is obviouse that compressive stress, appeared for alpha-Fe, and stretching stress, appeared for gama-Fe, following the melt layer cooling are the main reason for lowering the parameter of structure for alpha-Fe. The effects of extremely-ultra low gassing under heating the stainless-steel with titanium nitride coating and, vice versa, its increasing after hydrogen plasma irradiation play important role in acievement of lower limit pressures, in particle ballance, and recycling in plasma installations in which the large surfaces with titanium nitride are in use. Effects of decreasing the gassing under the material heating in vacuum open the possibility of vide utilization of TiN coatings under the creation of vacuum chambers for vide different technological applications.
