The brightness and opacity indices are normalized for pulp & paper production and a definition of colour index is introduced for the first time. During the elaboration of this standards on methods in draft the R & D work was provided including processes of national standards comparison and unification with EN standards conditions. The selection of instrument and apparatus for sample testing of tissue papers and articles from all the kinds of pulp & paper products is realized. In the proposed draft of state standard of all the norms of International standards is taken into account.
