The historic development of corresponding resort starting form 1921 is analyzed. Difficult social-economic state of the settlement, orientation of local industry on providing sanatorium-recreational services, highly seasonal character of their activity, on one hand, and unique qualities of natural-curative resources of Serhiyivka, on the other hand, testify to the fact, that tourist industry has to become the priority direction of social-economic development of the settlement and the whole rayon. Contemporary sanatorium-recreational business has to be the main direction of local tourist industry's specialization. Because of this, the deep analysis of actual sanatorium-recreational establishments' activity is given in this project, and possible ways of developing the program of prolonging the resort season of their activity are defined. Other kinds of tourist activity, prior for the development on the rayon territory, are defined. The necessity of forming Serhiyivka's image as the well-known resort on the tourist services market of Ukraine is substantiated, priority directions and possible mechanisms of this work are mentioned.
