The objective of this work was to study radiation and sorption characteristics of graphite GRP-2-125 of the Chornobyl NPP Unit 2 reactor. Content of the following 3Н, 14C, 36Cl, 41Ca, 55Fe, 59Ni, 63Ni, 60Co, 90Sr, 93mNb, 108Ag, 133Ba, 134Cs, 137Cs, 154Eu, 155Eu isotopes in graphite GRP-2-125 was measured during this experiment. The obtained results were compared with the designed and available data. A range of regularities and correlations was identified in terms of the content of various radionuclides in graphite. Radionuclides desorption from graphite was studied. Recommendations on further study of graphite contamination within the ChNPP site were prepared.
