The researches we have conducted to receive the flax fiber with the advanced cottonizing potential, demonstrated that the preparing of flax stock in the different-width ribbons, which was treated with carbon-ammonium salt, enables to preserve the primary quality level, and picking up the flax stock in rottening condition enables to receive high exposure of fiber, i.e. cottonine, which doesn't demand any mechanical treatment. Short fiber of the "Tomskyj 16" and "Mrija"-grades, which was obtained from the rotten flax stems of green ripeness, provides receiving of mostly high cottonine exposure (78-79%), which has high breaking strength and which quality came to 1,69 and 1,40 tex.
