Received data suggests the similarity of specific binding sites in cell for peptides with mitogenic activity and inhibitors of repair activity of specific alkyltransferase eliminating the DNA lesions induced by alkylating drugs in somatic mammalian cells. It was shown on the Bacillus subtilis model that the genoprotective and modulation activity of carbohydrate-binding proteins - lectins - at spontaneous and induced mutagenesis is mediated by repatative system. The defects of those system in RecP strain (which has no endogenous lectins) leads to resistance to exogenous lectins modulation activity. It can be suggested that endogenous bacterial lectin is necessary for realization of genetical activity of exogenous lectins. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
