Design scemes for asphalt bound layers on bridges and overpasses of reinforced concrete in conditions of temperature variations are developed. Analytical dependences for temperature strains predictions for asphault layers in cases of temperature variations during twenty-four hours and one year periods are determined. Principles of crack propagation caused by temperature variation and conditions of critical states are determined. Rated thermomechanical characteristics of main types of asphalt are found. Algorithm and programms for design of asphalt bound layers between deformation joints to avoid temperature caused crack propagation are developed on the base of theoretical and experimental investigations.
