Compressibility and capillarity of the real liquid are taking into account. Peculiarities of the plane supersonic cavitation flows are analyzed. Prospects of pressure drag diminishing with the use of long supercavities on the surface of an endless cylinder and finite body are considered. With the use of computer simulation, non-steady processes in the ventilated supercavity control by regulation of the air blowing rate are investigated. The reasons of the hydrodynamic characteristics discontinuity of the supercavitating controls are established. The calculation code is developed. Theoretical investigations of the wall flows in the boundary layer and a physical model of the cavity separation on the smooth surface are presented, taking into account the non-uniform vorticity of the real flows. The results of cavity shape calculations are presented. The influence of the minimum pressure at the hydrofoil leading edge on the cavitation flow characteristics is investigated. Experimental and theoretical investigations of free boundary flows above the easily penetrable roughness are carried out.
