Novel, more technological way of two-step way of maintenance for Rauwolfia serpentina tissue culture was elaborated. The possibility to employ the thermodynamic approach for mathematics characterization of the culture involved as a dynamic system was demonstrated. The ploidy level of Panax ginseng cells cultured in vitro was found to correlate with the biomass yield and level of glycoside accumulation. The technology of microclonal propagation for Ungernia victoris was developed for the first time ever. Plant ontogenesis was found to be concurrent with the changes in the pattern of nuclear DNA cleavage into high molecular fragments thus suggesting structural and functional rearrangements in DNA organization within the chromatin. Differences in the size of the rye chromatin loop domains, formed by various DNA sequences, were established. The occurrence of comparable pattern shared by the rearrangements of 18S-25SrRNA genes in tissue culture in vitro and intraspecies and interspecies polymorphism of these sequences. Bacterial test-systems, E.coli - bacteriophage lambda, CaCl2 - transformation of E.coli and MS2-induced mutants of E.coli were elaborated, which may be used for the purposeful search for biologically active compounds with the prespecified properties.
