The purpose of work is to consider the ball end mills work features and to develop their work thermal-power characteristics studying techniques. Methods of research: the cutting forces and the cutting temperatures were measured by dynamometer УДМ-100 and by the methods of artificial thermocouple and semi-artificial thermocouple. The recording of researched parameters instantaneous values was made in a digital view by the signal digital processing methods. The measurement of processed surface roughness was made by the profilometer - profilograph "Talysur f-6". The results of measurements: at the machining of various materials (5CrNiMn steel, M1 copper, МПГ7 graphite) by the ball end mill the results of forces and temperatures measurements are obtained. The using of signal digital recording allows to obtain exacter research results.
