In the isolated (10 years and more) water-bodies the quantitive and the qualitative composition is worsed. The essential similarity of the Kanew and Dniester water-bodies is attracting attention. Despite the big geomorphological deifferences between upper part of Dniester and Desna, their ihthyofaunes are almost identic. As a result of morphological investigations it was elucidated that the perch and ruffe populations from the tributaries and water-bodies are distinguished on the meristic as well as on the plastic traits too, and within the fish from the small rivers the specimens with tha developmnetary anomalies are frequently detected. To the known negative factors was added the new - the alien fish species - Amur sleeper which is quickly distributed in the ukrainian water-bodies and may essentially change to the worse the ecological situation in the small water-bodies.
