The isothermal sections of the phase diagrams of 7 ternary systems were built in the full concentration range. The crystal structure, magnetic and electric transport properties were investigated for 56 intermetallic compounds. For the TiCo1-xCuxSb, ZrNi1-xCoxSn, VFe1-xCuxSb, R3Cu3Sb4-xSnx (R = La, Ce, Pr, Nd,and Sm), and R(Fe,Co)9Si4 (R = Y, Sm, Gd, and Tb) substitutional solid solutions the stability ranges, crystal and electronic structures, and the physical properties were studied. Electronic structure calculations of the 6 ternary compounds and based on them 4 solid solutions confirmed that the MgAgAs structure type compounds were the intermetallic semiconductors. Doping of these compounds results in increasing of the thermoelectric power factor that gives a possibility to apply them as the active elements for the thermoelectric generators. On base of the obtained results an insulator-metal transition of electric conductivity scheme was proposed for the intermetallic semiconductors of the MgAgAs structure type.5635 Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
