Objective: to estimate significance of oxidative mechanisms of combined exposure to ionizing and nonionizing radiation in central nervous system impairments for development of antioxidant means of their correction. Techniques: behavioral, biochemical, hematological, and statistical. It has been shown that both SHF (2450 MHz, 1 mW/cm2), and gamma radiation (0.5 Gy) decline animal's conditioned performance. Combination of both agents causes smaller changes than in the case of their separate action. Blueberry was found most effective among antioxidant means as to the unfavorable changes in the higher nervous activity decrease. In the case of exposure to ionizing radiation, significant changes were found in antioxidant enzymes and lipid peroxidation products in the blood serum of exposed rats. Decrease of the functional changes caused by radiation agents (both separately, and combined) by antioxidants suggests significance of oxidative mechanisms in radiation effects. Means of conditioned effects of stress agents registration sensitivity increase confirmed by Ukraine patents were developed. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
