There were pointed out some stages of settlement's formation and existence in the profile of modern administrative regions of western Ukraine. There were also analyzed historical and evolutional processes of agro-landscape system's formation on the example of Chernivtsi region territory. Besides there were revealed historical and geographical peculiarities of the flora development and farming formation in Carpathian and Podillya region.
