Purpose of work - research of the actual problems of constitutional-legal regulation of organization and functioning of state power bodies, definition of their competence and authorities, realization of principles of division of state power, solution of state-legal conflicts. Methods of research: analytical, structural, system, historical, logical, comparative-legal, formal-logical, and also complex approach to study of problems of formation and development of Ukrainian statehood. The research is cased by necessity of study of specifics of constitutional development of Ukrainian state, formation of civil society and state's role in this process, and also adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU legislation, as one of the conditions for Ukraine to join EU. Absence of complex procession of these problems in domestic legal science confirms actuality of research topic and importance of achieved results. Scientific developments, recommendations and conclusions of completed research work have been used while preparation of scientific-practical commentary of the Constitution of Ukraine, development and expertise of draft laws and other legal acts, preparation of monographs, textbooks, educational and scientific-practical manuals.
