It forms here the stands of high productivity (mainly Ia-Ib capacity class, in some cases Ic,4 capacity class). The natural regeneration of European beech in high closed stands goes worse than the regeneration of associated species such as Bosnian maple, sycamore maple, European hornbeam. The research of 10 types of main felling in beech stands (clear felling with narrow coupes, clear felling, two-stage felling, three-stage felling, striped felling, three-stage gap felling, selection felling, three stage group (selection) felling, nest (selection) felling, great intensity selection felling) has showed that canopy density decreasing of parent trees or total elimination of it during the main felling makes considerable positive influence on beech young growth state. The beech regeneration reacts more actively on canopy density decreasing than the regeneration of associated species. The sharp increasing of projective cover degree of ground vegetation in rarefied stands or in felled areas have place during the first years after main felling, first of all vegetation of Rubus hirtus L. With the aim to decrease the negative influence of this factor on natural regeneration the first felling in beech stands should be connected to seed's years. The seed years of European beech in conditions of West Podillya hill country are happening rarely. During the 2003-2005 years it was noted the only one weak yield of nuts, one very weak yield, and one year was almost without yield.5635 Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
