The object of work is to improve previously developed standards in sericulture and to develop, for the first time, national standards for the egg and cocoons of the silkworm and mulberry seedlings and nursery transplants for various uses. These draft standards prescribe limit parameters of sericulture products which will promote the introduction into production of silk ratio races and hybrids of the silkworm and highly productive mulderry varieties, will create the actual opportunity for the sales of sericulture products in overseas markets as competitive products. The standards developed will enable objective evaluation of the products of domestic sericulture to be performed in accordance with the present days production conditions. The implementation of the national standards for the egg and cocoons of the silkworm and mulberry tree seedlings and nursery transplants will be of great importance for the eggs production factories and silk farms of Ukraine and the Autonomous Repudlic of Crimea. Developed for the first time in Ukraine.
