The natural cell structure of plat fibers contributes conditions of their infiltration with solutions of catalysts (antipyrenes) and conserves its state during fiber carbonization. The structure of prepared carbon fibers is investigated, samples of carbon-containing polymer matrix composites with improved friction and wear properties are manufactured.
