Methods - morphological. Results. It has been established that in chicken the immune formations associated with intestine mucosa are represented by diffuse lymphoid tissue, solitary lymphoid nodules and aggregated lymphoid nodules (Peyer's patches and caecal tonsils). The mucosa of one-day-old chicken contains only diffuse lymphoid tissue/ in 10-day-old chicken the primary lymphoid nodules appear in it and in 20-day-old chicken it contains also secondary lymphoid nodules. The highest numbers of solitary lymphoid nodules are contained in 2 to 4-month-old chicken, whereas their aggregates - in the caecum of 4-montyh-old chicken. The lymphoid tissue is the most abundant among other structural components of aggregated lymphoid nodules. Its highest contents was registered in 3-4-month-old chicken. The epithelium of aggregated lymphoid nodules includes epithelial cells with striated border, goblet cells, endocrine cells and M cells. Lymphoid nodules contain reticular cells, lymphocytes, lymphoblasts, plasma cells and macrophages.
