Main approaches (principles) of the legislation to classifying state aid measures as anticompetitive or procompetitive are determined. Proposals in regard to building a model for future state aid control at the national level within the application sphere of the legislation for protection of economic competition, which could be established in Ukraine, have been developed. Conceptual grounds for a state aid regulatory framework have been created. Methodological grounds for implementation of state aid control in the system of competition legislation have been developed.
