A nano-dimensional piezoelectric effect typical of subsystems with a size about nanometers is an important peculiarity of biominerals. Models allowing to describe the diffusion processes in biominerals by solid state physics methods are introduced. Mechanisms of a calcium loss in the bones and tooth enamel during the space flights are described. It is shown that under conditions of weightlessness or immibilization of a biological object the efficiency of the mechanical-electrical mechanism falls, that leads to demineralization of bones and teeth at space flights. The impurity crystal phases of biominerals (bone and tooth enamel) and synthetic hydroxylapatite, were studied using the electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. Finally, it is shown that the impurity mineral phases have important local effects on the mineralization and demineralization processes of bones and teeth. The method of electron paramagnetic resonance was used to investigate highly mineralized biological tissues as well as synthetic carbonate-apatites obtained by various technologies. Localization sites and properties of precenters which, when irradiated, change their state for paramagnetic one.5635 Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
