These are the expansion of the range of available photocatalytic reactions, growth of the efficiency of primary photochemical processes and the photocatalytic reaction as a whole, rise of the photocatalytic activity of narrow-band-gap semiconductors etc. The methods of the synthesis and stabilization of cadmium selenide nanoparticles and the CdSe-based composites in aqueous solutions have been developed.
