A new class of ZrO2 - based nanostructural thermal barrier coatings for titanium alloys and titanium aluminides details defence was developed. Diffusive and oxidizing processes, taking place in the coatings, were investigated. As a result of the work crack-resistance of the coatings was improved and its thermal conductivity was reduced.
