Pathogeneticly based therapy of the children with different forms of episyndromes and epilepsy was implemented using mordern anticonvulsants along with metabolic medications according to individual treatment protocols. Observation and examination in dynamics allowed to assess efficiency of the developed treatment schemes. The hovelty of the work lies in clarifying of etiologic factors and role of perinatal pathology in development of epilepsy in children; in determination (for the first time in Ukraine by means of MRS) of new quantative criterions of brain metabolites levels (NM, Cho, Cr, Lac) for differential diagnostics and assessing the treatment efficiency in children of early and preschool age with epileptic syndromes and epilepsy. The theoretic importance of the work isin revealing the role of epileptic attacks development in children of early and preschool age, and in formation of resistant forms of epilepsy. Introduction of contemporary methods of neurovisualization (MRI and MRS) in health care practice will allow to improve epilepsy diagnostics in children. Application of complex therapy (anticonvulsive and metabolic) in treatment of children of early and preschool age with epileptic syndromes and epilepsy will let to reduction of their social disadaptation and invalidization.
