New data on chemical composition, geochemical and isotopic peculiarities of the upper mantle beneath the Ukrainian shield are obtained. It is sown thet P-T conditions of the upper mantle have been favourable for formation and reservation of diamonds. The geobloks with depleted and metasomatized mantle are divided. Tht typomorphic features of diamonds and associated minerals from the terrigenous deposits are discovered. The results of the investigation are used in monograph "Perspectives of basement diamond productivity of Ukraine" edit by "Centere-Europe" ( Kyiv-Lviv, 2006).
