For decreasing equipment metal capacity on 10-15 % during processing slag spoils and increasing productivity of installation, new technical decisions on improving of constructive parameters of working space of tumbling barrel were developed. This decisions will provide calculated effectiveness its work. Laboratory experiments on processing fine-grain slag particles fraction 10-2 and 2-0 mm, which are obtained in processing of metallurgical slag to commodity output by dry magnetic separation method showed that disc separator improved construction is provide increase the extraction effectiveness of magnetic component from steelmaking slag fraction 2-0 mm more than on 15 %.It was determined thatfor processing of materials fraction composition of which exceed 2 mm advisable to use magnetic separators of drum type with lower supply of feeding. In result of performed work, the scheme of complex processing of solid metallurgical slag with extraction of metal inclusions and technological regulations with using of new technical decisions were created.
