Aim: to reveal the particularities of gene Galectine-3 expression in thyroid papillary carcinomas with respect to normal tissue and other tipes of thyroid tumors using immunohistocamical and molecular biological methods. Methods: microscopical, immunohisto chemical, molecular biological. Results and their novelty: Among the thyroid follicular tumors the prevalence of neoplasms with follicular-solid structure was detected; among the thyroid papillary carcinomas – the prevalence of tumors with mix histological structure was shown. The correlation between the expression of thyroglobuline and histological structure of tumors was found. The most focal reaction was detected in carcinomas with solid structure. Follicular adenomas and carcinomas were characterised by negative or weak positive reaction for galectine-3 on the background of positive stroma. In contrast, the cells of papillary carcinomas were characterised by high intensity and density of imunоhistochemical reaction, and completely negative stroma. The expression levels of galectine-3 mRNA in papillary carcinomas were more higher with respect to other types of thyroid tumors. Degree of introduction: publications, reports. Field of application: endocrinology. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
