A.P. Romodanov of Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" popup.description2 Report: 143 pages, 43 tables, 32 pictures, 210 references. Key words: stem cells, neural stem cells (NSC), neural progenitors, embryonal liver cells, Bulbus olfactorius cells, MHC І, ІІ antigens, growth factors, immunomodulating effect, antitumor effect, cytokines, cytomedines, cytotoxity. Established that embryonal and fetal brain cells show up in vitro and in vivo immunomodulating and antigen properties depending on hestation period and cultivating conditions. Neural progenitors contain HLA-A,B,C+ and HLA-DR+ cells, their amount could change under cultivation in vitro in the presence of growth factors. MHC expression by immature brain neurocells depends on hestation period. NSC co-cultivation with immunocompetent cells modulates the expression of activating molecules (CD25+, HLA-DR+) and inhibites mitogen-induced proliferation. Soy-bean lectin binds embryonal brain cells and select the antigenpresenting cells in suspension of embryonal brain cells. Inoculation of allogenic neurocells (E14,E18) in mice induced the immune responces, which was lower than responces to spleen cells and confirms the idea about lower level of MHC expression and immunogenity of brain cells. Under differentiation stem cells groth up their immunomodulating and suppressive properties, which fact needs to be taken in account in clinic application. Supernatants and cytomedines derived from embryonal brain and liver cells have modulating effect on activating and antigenpresenting molecules and functional activity of immunocompetent cells; show up the cytotoxic effect on glyal tumors depending on their anaplastic level and inhibit the EAE indices.
