The investigation subject: electromagnetic fields, diffraction phenomena and wave processes in the case of scattering of the waveguide type waves with single slot nonuniformities, arrays of ones, open ends of coaxial and circular waveguides. The goal of the investigation: solution of actual problem of impoving, developing and constructive synsthesis of microwave band element base of the modern radioelectronic systems, their miniaturization and the electromagnetic compatibility on the basis of fundamental investigations of excitation, scattering and radiation of electromagnetic waves and nonstationary fields with nonuniformities in waveguiding and waveguide-resonator structures; exposing new regularities of an influence of electrophysical and geometrical parameters and properties of nonuniformities and waveguiding structures on forming spatial-and-time, energy, frequency and polarization characteristics of scattered and radiatedelectromagnetic fields. The techniques of investigations are the theoretical researches, computer analysis, and experiment. The problem of excitation and radiation of the slots of arbitrary length cut in the waveguides of circular, П - shaped and coaxial cross-section form was solved. The characteristics of the single slots excited by higher-order modes in singlemode and multimode operating regime were investigated. The approximate analytical solution of the exciting problem of the transmission resonators which are joined in series and connected with the slot aperture of finite thickness with account of their mutual influence. The technique of solving the wave diffraction problem on the narrow slot cut in the finite thickness impedance end wall of the semi-infinite rectangular waveguide radiating in free halfspace were developed. The - wave diffraction on the ladder joint of two rectangular waveguides with impedance slot aperture of a finite thickness was solved. The radiation problem of antenna system, consisting of two open-ended rectangular waveguides or two slot radiators cut in the waveguide wall of finite thickness excited with a nonstationary source was considered. The scattering problem of nonstationary electromagnetic waves with the layer absorbing medium was solved in the time space by a numerical calculation. The mathematical model of the radiators in the form of open-ended rectangular waveguide or pyramidal horn excited at the same frequency by several modes simultaneously for creation of radiation pattern of special form were developed. The direction characteristics of two-layered nonequidistant arrays and arrays with different form aperture were studied. The problem of excitation and radiation of leaky-wave antenna in the form of longitudinal slot in the wide wall of rectangular waveguide excited by several modes simultaneously was solved.
