Due to a specific pigment marrnine, many years Haslea ostrearia was used for natural colouring of oysters to make attractive green color. The investigation is fulfilled for the first time. Sexual reproduction of this species is not studied yet. Sexual reproduction id an indispensable attribute of the diatom life cycle. Because of specific mode of frustule construction the size of cells in the life permanantly decreases, restoration of the initial sizes is possible during sexual reproduction. During sexual reproduction genetic recombination also takes place that promotes effective evolution of organisms. Many investigations were thus impossible in view of unknown sexual reproduction. It concerns maintains of the diatom in culture, and it is especially necessary for molecular, genetic works, and selection. We plan to derive clonal cultures and fulfill some crossing experiments. The methods evaluated at the laboratory of algae at Karadag will be used. The Influence of light conditions on sexual reproduction and production of marrenne will be studied in laboratory conditions of the University Du Mon. To achieve positive results collaboration of two reasech teams is necessary. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
