The purpose of the given activity is theoretical research of structure and definition of basic parameters of unsteady flow of vertical-axial wind turbines Darrieus and Savonius rotors on the basis of a numerical solution of dynamical equations of viscous incompressible liquid and a rigid body, development of mathematical models which take into account the main defining physical processes; development of procedures, algorithms and programs for mathematical simulation of unsteady turbulent incompressible flows around of vertical-axial wind turbine rotors. The report gives a new solution for an actual research problem of unsteady vertical-axis wind turbines rotors aerodynamics on the base of Navier-Stokes equations. General definition of the coupled problem on vertical-axis wind turbines rotors aerodynamics and dynamics is formulated. A code for the calculation of vertical-axis wind turbines rotors aerodynamic and power characteristics is developed on the base of Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible fluids. Analysis of development of unsteady turbulent incompressible flows is fulfilled for the flow around Darrieus and Savonius rotors. Two types of Darrieus and Savonius rotors differing in number of blades and their geometrical parameters are computed.
