The aim of this work is to establish scientific and practical background for the expanded use of the technology for collection, production and energy utilization of biogas from landfills and AD-plants in Ukraine. Methods of research and equipment: test field research of the biogas potential from landfills; mathematical modeling of landfill gas generation; feasibility studies calculations. The main results of this work are: analysis of the currentstate of the technologies development for collection, production and energy biogas utilization from landfill sites and AD-plants in the world; analysis of the existing theoretical models of the landfill gas generation and assessment of its potential use in Ukraine; conduction of three field tests of landfill gas generation potential; feasibility studies and evaluation of the potential of biogas production and energy utilization at the landfills and AD-plants in Ukraine.
