Objective: to improve scientific, informational and patent support of research in the field of children and adolescents health care. Methods: scientometric (bibliometric, informational analytical, and patent examination), sociological (questioning, appraisal by experts), and statistical. Theoretical and practical results: the state of research work in the field of children and adolescents health care was analyzed at the present stage of development of pediatrics, and school and adolescent medicine according to scientometric characteristics of research works and dissertations. There was studied the structure of information and innovation resources obtained after carrying out research, and the share of scientific communicative means in formation and employment of said resources was established. An algorithm for determining scientific and information needs in the field of children and adolescents health care was worked out. A functional model of scientific and information support of research was developed, and certain organizing and methodological measures for optimization of the research results employment in practice were proposed. Novelty: a novel system for formation and employment of information and information resources, comprised by research works in the field of children and adolescents health care was proposed. A novel method for estimating the resources by mathematic modeling was proposed, and an algorithm for scientific and information support of specialists was worked out, serving as the basis for the process optimization. Effectiveness: increased effectiveness, employment of information and innovation resources contained in research works and dissertations, and improvement of scientific product practical realization.
