The aim of the research work- construction of mathematical model of inhomogeneous solids which considers structural modifications and phase transitions, theoretical study of stability and above-critical behaviour of two-dimensional and three-dimensional bodies, experimental researches of laws of deformation of cylindrical samples, stability of thin-walled shells. The methods of research work: solid mechanics, the theory plasticity, including microstrains, the experimental techniques of research of thin-walled tubular samples developed earlier. The results of research work consist in generalization of the theory of plasticity and creep which considers microstrains, for case of structural and phase transitions, in experimental research of stability of thick circular cylindrical shells outside the limits of elasticity at simple and complex loading. The results of the work can be implemented in mechanical engineering (space complex, shipbuilding, automobile factories), design of buildings in which new materials are used.
