It was established that emissions from mining-metallurgical enterprises in the base 1990 was approximately 145 million t of СО2. Adaptation of the monitoring mechanism was realized and greenhouse gas emissions from mining-metallurgical enterprises in 2006 were determined. Greenhouse gas emissions were calculated for shops and productions of the basic iron & steel works, by-product coke, refractory, ferroalloy and pipe plants. Forecast related to greenhouse gas emissions up to 2012 was fulfilled. It was established that up to 2012 manufacture of the basic kinds of products in mining-metallurgical complex will exceed 1990's indices. We developed suggestions enable decreasing greenhouse gas emissions at mining-metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine by realizing the actions on improving the technology and equipment that provides reduction of fuel-energy consumption and use of waste energy.
