The level of monopolisation in the fields of economy in 2006 is defined. A structural analysis of data indices is performed. Defined are the most largely monopolised branches and reasons for changes in monopolisation level in the essential industries; also evaluated are monopolisation levels in regions. Generalised are the market situation surveys data concerning competition intensity in various fields, and analysed are tendencies of their changes during 2006-2007. Examined is the state of competitive environment in retail sales and analysed are experiences of developed countries in their struggle against abuses in this field.
