The aim of the work - elaboration of methods of synthesis of complexing silica adsorbents with anchorage of organic ligands via single-stage aminomethylation Mannich reaction and to application of obtained adsorbents for determination of microquantities of toxic metals in natural and waste waters. The methods of investigation - adsorption method, DRIFT and UV spectroscopies, аdsorption-X-ray fluorescence method. Single-stage method of immobilization of some important analytical reagents of phenolic type (8 hydroxyquinoline, 4-(2-pyridylazo)resorcinol, 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol) with simultaneous proceeding of aminomethylation process and condensation of products of the Mannich reaction with silanol groups of the silica surface has been developed. Physicochemical characterization of the synthesized modified silicas was carried out by spectral andadsorption methods. Method of synthesis provides high concentration and a more homogeneous distribution of complexing groups on the surface, the adsorbents obtained display a high capacity towards some environmentally toxic metals and satisfactory kinetic adsorption properties, which allow to use adsorbent for the ions preconcentration in the dynamic adsorption mode. The materials of the work have been included into analitycal chemistry course of studies for specialities "chemistry and biology". Some materials of the investigation were included into Ph.D. thesis.
