Aim of work: to discover the ways of optimization of communicative mechanisms of Ukraine social and ethnopolitical consolidation through the sociological analysis of the condition and development tendencies of social communication in contemporary society. Research methods: comparative analysis and synthesis, logical generalization, typologization, content analysis, discourse analysis of mass communication sources, expert poll, secondary analysis of empirical sociological information. The analysis of scientific publications, basic data and results of sociological researches is conducted. Results of research work. Theoretical work on improvement of theoretical and methodological research grounds of social and ethnopolitical consolidation communicative mechanisms is conducted. The analysis of consolidation of contemporary Ukrainian society essence and basic directions is realized. Possibilities of public organizations as a mechanism of Ukrainian society integration are considered. A social policy as a factor of consolidation processes is analysed. The contradictory role of international organizations in ethnopolitical of Ukrainian society consolidation is investigated. Possibilities of society consolidation increase due to tolerance of social network forming are considered. The analysis of the role of mass media in the processes of ethnopolitical consolidation based on the practical example of regional mass media is implemented. Communicative possibilities of sport in relation to society integration are found out. Such communicative mechanisms of society consolidation as forming of state (country) image in the processes of international communication and overcoming of common stereotypes of mass consciousness are considered. Influence of the money culture on Ukrainian society consolidation is defined. Scientific and practical recommendations for public authorities and machinery of government in relation to the policy of Ukrainian society consolidation are developed. The research results can be used for the further development of the scientific research grounds of Ukrainian society consolidation problem; for the improvement of the social communication mechanisms, which contribute to the distribution of consolidation practices in Ukraine and in its regions; during the optimization of legislation that provides a social consent; during the development of informative campaigns in relation to consolidation of society; for using of communicative technologies in activity of public authorities and local government. Data of research provide a basis for the development and application in the educational process of the special course "Social communications as a factor of civil society development" for specialists in the area of Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Public Administration.
