The island ecosystems have been studied (flora, geology, soil cover, meteorology, atmospheric chemistry). Electronic achieve for the data storage is created. Priorities of economic activities on the island have been grounded. Influence of anthropogenic activities on the separate links of the ecosystem has been assessed. Statistic connections between changes in abiotic factors and biotic processes have been studied. GIS model of the island has been developed, as well as draft concepts and recommendation on establishing of efficient infrastructure and expedient balanced environmentally safe sustainable development of economic activities under current hydrological & hydrochemical and meteorological conditions. Scientific substantiation of regulation and rating of nutrients and organic substances discharges into the coastal ecosystem has been elaborated. Preparations have been finished and 2 monographs sent to the publishing house for printing: "Zmiinyi Island: Abiotic Characteristics" and "Zmiinyi Island: Ecosystem of Coastal Waters".
