Purpose of the work: to build a mathematical model of the changes in cell radiosensitivity during the tumor growth and at its fractionated irradiation based on new hypotheses about the mechanisms of the processes which determine the rate of the processes of malignant tumor cell proliferation with the consideration of the dependence of proliferation rate on the degree of cell oxygenation, new ideas about the factors which determine the dependence of cell radiosensitivity on their oxygenation. Methods of investigation and equipment: mathematical simulation, algorithmization methods. Results and their novelty: for the first time hypotheses about the changes in the size of a spherical malignant tumor, the size of its normotoxic and hypotoxic layer, changes in the cell radiosensitivity during its growth, reoxygenation and after the exposure were suggested and mathematical models were worked out.
