The paper systematizes data on CC-1 arrangements for PWR and WWER reactors and considers the possibility and expected effect of applying PWR CC-1 experience to Ukraine's WWER NPPs. The following primary coolant chemistry optimization areas were considered: the use of boric acid enriched with the B10 isotope, zinc injection, change from ammonia to gaseous hydrogen injection. It provides the inspection results for Westinghouse and TVSM fuel assemblies after their third operation cycle at SUNPP Unit 3, as well as the results of laboratory out-of-pile research into corrosion processes on stainless steels.
