The aim was to evaluate the effectiveness and metabolic influence of long-term antihypertensive therapy by different classes of first line antihypertensive drugs in patients with renoparenchymal and essential arterial hypertension. There studied influence beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors and angiotensne II blockers. There obtained data that decreasing of blood pressure is needed for metabolic corrections as well as choice of antihypertensive drug.
