The aim of the work is to improve the organ protection in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 and cardiovascular comorbidity based on early identification and correction of risk factors of cardiovascular complications and based on comparative study of influence of different antihypertensive and hypolipidemic treatment regimens on life quality indices, lipid and glycaemic parameters, microalbuminuria, pharmacoeconomic indices, too. Study methods - common clinical methods, study of life quality with Gissen questionnary; 12 standard leads electrocardiography; M-mode ultrasound cardioscopy; determination of plasma lipids with fermentative method; determination of glucose blood level with oxidative method; determination of microalbuminuria with immune fermentative method. Results: the association of lipid coefficients with development of cardiovascular complications and unfavorable clinical course in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 has been proved and it has been proposed to use these coefficients as biochemical criteria of evaluation of efficacy of hypolipidemic therapy. The systematic approach to compartment of differential treatment technologies (correction of dyslipidemia in this case) in patients with diabetes mellitus and various glycemia status has been worked up. Approaches to optimization of nephropathy treatment in patients with diabetes combined with arterial hypertension have been proposed.
