It is provided that perhaps mostly frank cognitive impairment can be observed among those who suffer from circulatory encephalopathy with constrictive lesion of left carotid artery. There is no correlative relationship between cognitive functions' indicants and carotid artery stenosis's degree, and carotid intima-media thickness. Research results demonstrated direct interrelation between the nitrogen oxide activity in peripheral blood and circulatory encephalopathy advance. The examination of the neuron-specific enolase level in blood of those patients suffering from dyscirculatory encephalopathy defined that it cannot be considered the marker of early stages of inveterate cerebral ischemia.
