Aim of scientific researches is achievement of high productivity of forage grasslands at restricted use of mineral fertilizers and maintenance of uniform supply of pasture feedstuff which does not invoke tympanites in dairy cows. Researches were carried out with the use of methodical approaches used in the international practice and meet ISO requirements, particularly of such methods as visual, measuring-weighting, laboratory-chemical, mathematic-statistical. Researches have studied phytocenotic activity, competitiveness and productive action of new breeds of perennial grasses of the Feed Research Institute of the NAAS, bred by the methods of adaptive breeding. On their basis models of pasture herbages for dairy cattle for the regions with unstable soil moisture supply are improved and the technology of creation of cultivated grasslands which provides guaranteed obtaining of pasture feedstuff of 17-20 t/hectares or 3,0-3,5 t/hectares of feed units with the cost price 400-500 grn./t and level of profitability of 290-420% within 5 years of use is developed. Approbation and introduction of this research has shown that incorporation in grass mixture instead of traditional species - orchard grass, fescue meadow, timothy and perennial ryegrass of a drought-resistant varieties - Petrovsky crested wheatgrass, Drongo oat grass, Lyudmyla reed fescue, Vseslav smooth brome, Boyan meadow brome,Yanka and Agata red fescue, Kolumb slender wheatgrass, Hors intermediate wheatgrass in a combination with Ayaks bird's-foot trefoil, has provided in the first year of consumption by dairy cows of 10-14 t/hectares of pasture feedstuff that is equivalent to 2,0-2,7 t/hectares of feed units and obtaining from them 2,8-4,3 t/hectares of milk with the cost price 860-1000 grn./t, and it also guarantees obtaining of 3,8-4,4 thousand grn./hectares of net profit and production profitability of milk at the level of 178-250% at pasturing. Field of application: scientific theoretical researches will be used by scientists-agrarians, and practical results will be introduced at the agricultural enterprises of various ownership forms specialising in milk production.
