The goal of investigation- evaluation and selection of the analytical methods for trace elements and priority organic contaminants speciation in aquatic systems, improvement of the procedures for surfactants determination by diffused reflection spectrometry taking into account their speciation in presence of humic substances. The main results : the review of relevant scientific literature concerning the modern methods of speciation of trace elements and stable organic contaminants have been prepared; limitation and advantages of speciation methods were evaluated and the most sensitive and selective methods were recommended for the investigation of speciation of trace elements and organic polutants . The nature of species, their level of concentration in water, suspended materials, biota and sediments have been presented. The data are presented concerning the interaction of some organic pollutants with humic and fulvic acids. The interaction of anionic surfactants with humic substances were studied; constants of connection were determined in dependence on reaction time, temperature, concentrations, nature and length of hydrocarbon chain in surfactants. The new sensitive method was developed for the cationic surfactants and cationic organic coagulants determination by the methods of diffused reflection spectrometry, speciation of these substances in presence of humic acids were studied.
