The goal of the work is creation of the experimental model of energy and resource saving power supply source for gas-transport systems. Methods of the investigation are analysis and synthesis of electromechanical systems; analytical investigations; mathematic and computerized modeling of self-excitation processes; normal and abnormal operation modes; laboratorial trials of energy and resource saving power supply source. The work defines principles of creation of energy and resource saving independent supply source for gas-distributing stations and units. Structure and operation principles of the source component parts were proposed taking into account specific gas-distribution processes at gas-distributing stations and units. Basic diagram was developed; calculation of units was performed and laboratory experimental model of high-stable source was created using mechanical energy of turbodetender. Patenting of the developed source was arranged. Algorithms and microprocessor programs for control of independent voltage inventor and ballast PWM were developed. Basic technical documentation for manufacturing of experimental model was developed. Laboratory investigations were done; and consistency of characteristics of the developed model with the technical requirements was proved. Methodology of capacitive modeling of generator self-excitation was introduced into educational process. As a result of the work experimental model was created, a patent was obtained for it and it was given to JSC "TURBOGAS".
