The study investigates the causal impact of trade openness and technology transfers on productivity growth in developing countries. . Important result of the research is that productivity of the countries CSSE, CIS and Ukraine depends more on technologically intensive trade and R&D spillovers, than other developing countries. This result supports the point of view about necessity of creation the conditions for stimulation of development of technology-intensive trade in Ukraine. In this connection, we offer a series of measures on stimulation of innovative and technological development of Ukraine, namely in the field of trading, investment, innovative, regulative, the institutional policy, a policy of strengthening of a competition and protection of intellectual property rights.
