Objective of researches a maintainance and enriching of collection of animals of zoo "Askania Nova", optimization of structure of populations, improvement of methods of their breeding in semi-free keeping, development of strategy of realization of the programs of reintroduction, study of parasitological situation, renewal of quantity of separate types of birds within bounds of natural habitat. Methods of researches are standard procedures of zoology, ethology, physiology of animal reproduction, parasitology and morphology. The ecology-morphological peculiarities of Canada goose (Branta canadensis), Bar-headed goose (Anser indicus), Gray-lag goose (A. anser) and Snow goose (A. caerulescens), and peacock under conditions of the semi-free keeping were studied. Oomorphological characteristic is given. The growth and development of nestlings is described. The plan of pedigree work for the ungulate animals was developed. According to this plan the group formation was carried. The experience of breeding of Shetland Ponies and asses (Equus asinus) is generalized. The evaluation of the breeding of Munich line the Przewalski's Horse in zoo "Askania Nova" in future is given. The ethogram of behavior is graphed of adult males of Przewalski's horse kept in a bachelor group is calculated. Equine capacity to generalization of experience received by identification of visual stimulates is studied. Peculiarities of the Grevy's zebra behavior in post natal period are researched. The results of monitoring of free population of Przewalski's horse in the Chernobyl AES Disaster's Zone are generalized. The experience of breeding, peculiarities of reproduction biology and population dynamics, and morphology of such animals: Indian antelope (Antilope cervicapra), Gayal, Blue wildbeest (Connochaetes taurinus), African Watusi cattle, Eland, Nilgai, Sitatunga, Cape buffalo and Water buffalo, Saiga, Yack, American bison are generalized. Seasonal dynamics of helminthosis and helminthofauna composition of Indian antelope, Blue wildbeest, Eland, Nilgai, Sitatunga, Saiga is determined; the data of parasitological status of these species are generalized; the recommendations on keeping, breeding and health improvement of some animal species are given. The main indices of biorhythms and morphophysiologic reproduction peculiarities of Guanaco (Lama guanicoe) and Lama, and Barbara sheep are studied. The interconnection of antlers development of Pere David's deer and Red deer with sexual activity is researched. It was carried out in-depth scientific inventory of museum pieces' collection of representatives Equidae and Bovidae which is in the museum collection fund of the Reserve. On the base of traced researches the seventeen scientific elaborations were completed. The elaborations have nature conservation effect. A scope is environment conservation.
